Pfaffia Glomerata, also known as Brazilian Ginseng, generally designates the species of the genus Pfaffia (Pfaffia iresinoides, from the Amaranthaceae family). In popular medicine, it is prescribed in teas as a stimulant tonic, in order to provide more vitality to the body. In Portuguese it is also called “paratudo”, which literally means “for everything”, and “suma” or “disappear”. Due to some of its biochemical and morphological characteristics, it has been compared to Ginseng – a species whose use is consecrated by the ancient Chinese tradition -, although they are very different plants.

Beta-ecdysone, Pfaffia Glomerata’s active principle, is also widely used in the cosmetic industry for its surfactant properties.

The Pfaffia Glomerata commercialized by Miliah is delivered in powder and ready for consumption or manufactured use and presents a percentage of beta-ecdysone equal to or greater than 0.4%.
